The name behind the guide
Meet Pearl.
Trident’s voice is named for Pearl Shelton Chandler, our CEO’s great-grandmother. Family memory places her behind the controls of American tanks during World War II, moving them from factory ground toward the ships that carried them overseas.

A name with weight
She learned the machine and kept it moving.
Pearl was as American as they come: half Cherokee, half Shelton gang—an affectionate shorthand for roots, nerve, and a certain refusal to be underestimated. When wartime work called, she climbed into machines few people ever expected a woman to drive.
When the men were overseas fighting the war, Pearl did her part delivering tanks to our men. Pearl took responsibility for difficult work and moved it forward. That is why her name belongs to the Trident voice.

Our technology carries a family name for a reason.
